Steps For Using Blood Needle

Steps for using blood needle:

1) Remove the arterial blood sampling needle from the aseptic package.

2) Remove the needle cap for arterial blood collection and put it in a proper position.

3) Move the needle cap outward.

4) Push the core rod forward to the zero scale line and pull back the preset to the desired scale.

5) The arterial blood sampling needle was downward, and the puncture was carried out at an Angle of 45° to 90°.

6) Fill the sample with the preset scale at arterial pressure.

7) After sample collection, pull out the needle head of the arterial blood sampling needle and press the puncture point with gauze for at least 5 minutes to prevent bleeding.

Precautions for use:

1) Do not use the protective cap if it has become loose or fallen off.

2) For personal safety, do not reuse the blood needle.

3) Do not share the same blood needle with others to avoid cross-infection.

4) Fixation of blood needle: press the little finger on the tube or stick the tape on one third of the tube. If conditions permit, the tip of the blood needle should enter the blood vessel as far as possible.

5) Cartridge problem: to prevent cartridge, hold the blood collection vessel in one hand and the end of the blood collection needle in the other.

6) Blood insipidation: Gently press the puncture point with cotton swab or needle post to prevent blood insipidation.

7) Occasionally, the blood flow speed is very slow during the use, which may be due to insufficient negative pressure of the vacuum blood collection vessel, the patient's blood thickness, low blood pressure, and the blood vessel wall blocking the needle hole of the blood collection needle.
